Slab-on-grade
foundations are a construction practice whereby the concrete slab
that is to serve as the foundation for the structure is created
by pouring the concrete into the former to shape. The former, built
from wooden planks , plastic, or steel, leaves no space between
the ground and the structure.
Relatively
cheap and sturdy, it is a flat concrete pad poured directly on the
ground. It takes very little site preparation, little formwork for
the concrete and little labor to create.
Concrete
slabs work great for patios, drive-ways, foundations, walk-ways,
commerical buildings and garages. Check out our online
gallery to see our examples.
